Will’s Favourites

I don’t know if I can decide! If you are into hiking, then the three peaks is a challenge you should attempt! Mount Snowdon has got to be my favourite so far, the challenging hike is rewarded with spectacular views.

London, on the other hand, is somewhere you have to explore even if you aren’t a fan of the big cities. Whether you plan on seeing the famous landmarks, discover different cuisines or head to the West End, the vibes of this place is like no other.

My UK Adventures

 When should you visit?

The UK is famous for its cold and wet weather but it is not always like that. Winter here is from December to March while summer is June till August.

If you are wanting to explore the UK and get out on some adventures then I’d avoid winter, the best time to come is usually September as the weather is typically nicer and you have the added bonus of it being quieter as the kids are back at school. That doesn’t mean you should write off winter though, the UK go all out on the run up to Christmas, it is such a magical time where you will find Christmas markets and light displays like no other.

Getting Around The UK

Traveling in many of the larger UK towns and cities, you’ll find excellent public transportation, including buses, trains and trams. With options to purchase travel cards in advance to help reduce the price of each journey. Taxis and Uber are also often well priced and allow more flexibility for your travel plans.

Trains are a bug bear of many British people, with high prices and continuous strikes. If you are wanting to travel by train, it is definitely worth checking schedules, pricing and booking as early as possible. You’ll find that prices fluctuate significantly. Apps like Trainline are good for finding trains.
